Pop Burn

Pop Burn operates at the intersection of urban graphic language and gallery-scale light work. The hand-painted and HD-printed figure — a dynamic form rendered with the compressed energy of street art — carries an integrated yellow LED that traces its perimeter in warm, contained illumination. The light does not explain the figure; it activates it, separating the work from the wall and giving the painted surface a spatial dimension it does not have in daylight.

The "X" eye motif is a graphic decision rooted in post-pop visual culture — categorical, immediate, deliberately unresolved in affect. The piece holds irony and presence in equal measure, and the LED glow gives it a nocturnal register that the print alone does not achieve.
