IM Studio is our laboratory, where new pieces are incubated with our clients, you. A piece starts as a vision, becomes a drawing, then a prototype. Its proportion, material, and finish are refined until it's fully resolved. This is where we share that work, before it's built.

01 : Conversation
It starts with your room
Tell us about your room and the piece you have in mind. Together we set the brief: dimensions, materials, budget, and the price, before anything is built.
02 : Design rounds
Refined until it's right
We design the piece and bring it to you. Each round we revise, and prototype anything we're unsure of, until you're delighted.
03 : Build
Made for where it will stand
We build the piece with machine work and hand-finishing, inspect it against the approved design, and ship it only when you're ready.

Before you begin.
Can I start from my own idea?
Yes. A commission starts from a blank page: a sketch, a reference, or a feeling for a room. An incubation starts from a design of ours, taken as shown or shaped to your room.
How long does it take?
Three to five months from approved design to delivery, depending on materials and finish.
How does it arrive?
Oversized and custom pieces ship by freight.
Can I return a commissioned piece?
No. Custom-made pieces are final sale. Orders shipped into the European Union may be cancelled or returned within 14 days.
