Ancestral Pulse

The Ancestral Pulse is a red-orange abstract canvas worked over with bold black hand-painted motifs that draw on the visual language of ancestral and tribal mark-making. The pigment is built up by hand into a low relief, so the black forms sit raised and tactile against the saturated ground and catch a faint shadow as the light moves across them.
