Spectral Flux | Prismatic Shift

Spectral Flux: Prismatic Shift introduces light as a structural element rather than a surface effect. The artwork is built from four stacked layers of MDF: three precision-carved layers arranged in sequence, and a final solid back layer that anchors the composition. Integrated within the piece are three LED light layers—purple at the top, pink at the middle, and teal beneath—each emitting light that corresponds directly to the carved layer below it. This alignment allows color to originate from within the structure, passing through the organic apertures and layered depths to produce a shifting, dimensional glow. The work changes subtly with movement and ambient light, emphasizing depth, emission, and controlled chromatic interaction. This illuminated piece is part of the Spectral Flux Collection, a series exploring form through color, depth, and light.
