Discharge

Discharge: Ember is a contained light object defined by diffusion rather than clarity. A vertical core of heat-like color emerges from within, softened and expanded by a translucent acrylic enclosure that blurs the boundary between surface and depth. The glow feels internal—less emitted light, more pressure pushing outward.

The canvas sits recessed inside a frosted 3D acrylic box, designed to scatter and soften the white LED light source positioned beneath it. This diffusion eliminates sharp edges, allowing color to bleed gently into darkness and creating a suspended, atmospheric field rather than a literal image. The result is controlled luminosity: warm, restrained, and deliberately imprecise.

Discharge: Ember exists between artwork and light object. It introduces presence through glow, not brightness—an anchored, architectural intervention that holds intensity without spectacle.
