Thermal Strata

A red and orange circular 3D relief wall art piece with hand-painted flowing strata and a resin-coated sculptural surface. The MDF surface carries layered relief bands, each one shifting from deep volcanic red at the base to brighter radiant tones at the crest. The resin finish follows the raised topography with chromatic precision, creating a surface that appears to hold and emit thermal energy. The stratification reads as both geological cross-section and heat map, merging earth science with the visual language of thermal imaging. Shadow collects between the strata to reinforce layered depth and accumulated pressure.
