Subduction
- 15-day returns
Overview
Subduction is a compressed oceanic surface rendered in sculptural relief. Cavities collapse inward like pressure pockets beneath the sea floor, forming a dense field of shadow and saturation. The monochromatic blue finish intensifies depth, allowing light to dissolve into the terrain rather than reflect from it. From afar, it reads as a unified plane. Up close, the surface fractures into ridges and voids shaped by controlled corrosion. It carries weight without ornament—an architectural mass translated into wall form.
