Sedimentation
- 15-day returns
Overview
Sedimentation registers as a suspended geological field—density gathering at the surface before dissolving into near-absence. Hundreds of individually formed paper elements accumulate in a controlled vertical gradient, transitioning from saturated cobalt to a pale mineral fade. The composition reads as pressure held in stillness: compact above, settling below, with no visible force beyond gravity and time.
Encased within a clear acrylic shadow box, the work gains depth through disciplined layering rather than gesture. Light moves across the surface, activating tonal variation and casting restrained shadows that reinforce its architectural structure. It suggests accumulation, erosion, and quiet descent—measured, spatial, and atmospheric.
