Purple Haze Bubble Cluster

Purple Haze Bubble Cluster is a study in controlled repetition. Each sphere, hand-formed from polymer clay, occupies its own discrete territory within the composition while remaining in quiet relation to the whole — a cluster that reads as both density and air.

The white-framed field gives the purple and white forms room to register as individual objects before collapsing into the pattern. The three-dimensional relief casts micro-shadows across the linen backboard, animating the surface under directional light. This is materiality as subject: the work is about what polymer clay can do, not what it represents.
