Overview
Pressure Fields is a square-format sculptural relief defined by disciplined repetition and chromatic gradation. Structured through a precise grid of carved foam segments, the composition establishes a rhythmic field of horizontal and vertical tension. The surface is chemically eroded to create a tactile, stratified texture, allowing subtle shadow lines to settle within each recessed division. A saturated gradient transitions from deep indigo at the base through violet and magenta into luminous fuchsia at the center, forming a controlled visual ascent within the rigid geometry. The repetition introduces architectural order, while the hand-applied pigment softens the structure with atmospheric depth.
