Hue Blend Console

The Hue Blend Console is constructed from birchwood and finished through a nanospray process that builds color in layered, graduated fields across the surface. The result is not a painted surface in the conventional sense — each panel holds multiple hues in lateral bands that shift in register and depth as light moves across them, the surface behaving differently at different hours and under different exposures.

At 94.5" in length, the piece occupies wall space at the scale of a work of art. The form is reductive — low, horizontal, without hardware or decorative relief — which places the full visual weight on the surface treatment. The lustrous nanospray finish catches oblique light and releases it differently than it receives it, sustaining interest across the full length of the object.
