Overview
The Ekstrem Chair is an architectural provocation — a seating form composed entirely of interlocking cylindrical tubes that loop, bend, and knot around each other to create a structure that is as much sculpture as it is furniture. Inspired by Jan Ekselius, the design rejects conventional seating geometry in favor of a radically tubular vocabulary. Each tube is upholstered in dense wool blend over high-resilience foam, yielding a surface that is both firm and forgiving. The visual effect is bold and chromatic: in saturated yellow, green, or emerald, the chair becomes a singular object of presence in any architectural context. It does not recede. Made-to-order, each piece is built to specification with attention to structural integrity and textile tension across every curved junction.
