Counterpoint

Counterpoint is a study in tension and interruption. A rigid, graphic composition in deep blue and white establishes rhythm and order, while the attached paintbrush breaks that system deliberately. The brush—loaded, vertical, unresolved—acts as a physical counterweight to the precision beneath it. This contrast between control and gesture is the work’s core: structure versus action, plan versus instinct. The piece reads simultaneously as finished object and suspended process.
