The Astra Credenza is an act of surface transformation. Birchwood — a material of warmth and grain — is finished with an electroplated chrome layer that remaps the substrate entirely: the organic is subsumed by the reflective, and what remains is a facade of flowing chrome patterns that move with the viewer rather than remaining fixed.
At 82.7 inches wide, the credenza functions at architectural scale. The chrome surface behaves differently across that span — catching ambient light at one end, pooling shadow at the other — so the piece presents a different composition depending on where in the room you stand. Storage and surface area in a form that refuses to be background.
